The clinic

A suite in a plaza, one block from the bridge.

This is the part you can check before you come: where the clinic is, who works in it, and how to reach it once you are back in Texas.

Where it is

Calle Coahuila 223, Suite 1, inside Plaza Rincones de México.

The ground-floor entrance of the clinic in Plaza Rincones de México: a blue facade with the number 1, a glass door between two windows lettered with treatment names, and in front of it two steps and a ramp with a wheelchair symbol painted on it.
The door of Suite 1, seen from inside the plaza.

The clinic is on Calle Coahuila, one block east of the avenue that comes down from the bridge. It is inside Plaza Rincones de México, in Suite 1.

Walking over from the U.S. side takes about five minutes. You never drive into Mexico, and your car stays parked in Texas. The crossing guide has the walk broken into four legs, including the turn onto Coahuila.

It is one clinic, with treatment rooms on the ground floor and on the upper floor of the plaza. The same work is done on both, so any treatment can be done on the ground floor — if stairs are difficult for you, it is worth saying so when you book.

The entrance from the sidewalk has two steps and a ramp, and the ramp is there for wheelchair users and for people with a disability.

What is inside

The scanner, the laboratory, and sterilization.

The clinic has its own 3D scanner and its own laboratory. We sterilize with an autoclave.

That counts for the work that goes under the gum. A flat X-ray gives you a silhouette: it says the tooth is there and roughly what shape it is. A 3D scan reads the same area in volume, so the bone can be measured — how tall it is, how wide, and what sits next to it.

What the images mean for your case is read by the doctor, at the assessment. A scanner decides nothing on its own, and a website decides less than that. It is the same reason no plan is printed on this page: the plan is made here, with you in the chair.

Flat X-ray and 3D scan

  • An X-ray is one plane. What is in front of the tooth and what is behind it land on the same picture, stacked on each other.
  • A 3D scan separates those planes, so height, width and depth can each be measured instead of estimated.
  • Either one is a picture, not a diagnosis. The reading belongs to the doctor.

Implants are planned on images before anything is placed — how we do implants here.

The five doctors

Every doctor listed here works in this clinic.

Dra. Aurora Ruiz

Dra. Aurora Ruiz

Orthodontics, advanced prosthodontics and implantology

Dental surgeon degree (cirujano dentista) · Cédula profesional 90555005

Universidad Valle del Bravo

Prosthodontics is the field that replaces teeth: crowns, bridges, dentures and the restorations that sit on implants. Orthodontics and maxillofacial orthopedics moves teeth, and guides the bone that holds them, into a different position over time. Implantology places the post that stands in for the root of a tooth that is gone.

Oral surgery, implantology and prosthodontics

Estomatólogo, a Mexican dental degree, from the Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí (UASLP) · Cédula profesional 7189979

Implantology endorsed by the Federación Mexicana de Implantología

An implant replaces the root of a missing tooth with a post placed in the jaw. The part that shows, the crown, goes on top of it afterwards. Oral surgery is the specialty that operates inside the mouth and on the jaw: extractions that are not straightforward, work on the bone underneath, and the surgical half of placing an implant. Prosthodontics, the field that replaces teeth, is described above.

Dental surgeon is the English for cirujano dentista, the general dental degree in Mexico. It covers the everyday work of a practice: examinations, fillings, cleanings, extractions and root canal treatment. Estomatólogo is a Mexican dental degree at the same level, under a name with no direct English equivalent. A specialty, where a doctor holds one, is studied after the degree. The cédula profesional is the number Mexico registers a professional degree under: the two published here are for the degree, not for any specialty.

How you pay

No prices on this site. What you can pay with, yes.

There are no prices here, and that is deliberate.

What your case costs depends on what your case needs, and that is read by a doctor at the assessment — not from a photograph, and not from a page written before anyone had looked at you. A figure printed here would be a guess dressed up as an answer, and you would plan a trip around it.

What we can tell you before you cross is what you can pay with. That is the part you decide on the Texas side, while you are still deciding what to put in your wallet.

And you are given a receipt, itemized by treatment — one line for each thing that was done.

What you can pay with

  • U.S. cards are accepted.
  • Cash, in U.S. dollars or in Mexican pesos. Either one.

Anything else about paying is a question for before you cross — (956) 363-8152.

After you go home

The question nobody asks out loud before they cross.

You will be back in Texas by the time you really know how the work feels.

If something bothers you once you are home — a crown that catches, a spot that aches, something that does not sit the way it did when you left — you call the clinic and we set a time to see you. That is the whole first step, and it is the same number you used to book the first visit, answered in the clinic itself. You do not need to write, or send a photograph, or explain it to anyone but us.

What a warranty covers, how long it runs and what ends it is explained at the assessment, for your case and the work it actually needs. We are not going to print one answer here for every treatment on the list, because it would not be the one you were given.

Reaching us from Texas

Before you come, and after you go home.

(956) 363-8152
A 956 number, the Valley's own area code. You dial it the way you dial anyone else down here, and the clinic answers it itself — not an answering service on the U.S. side. Call or text.

For a question you would rather put in writing, or one that occurs to you outside opening hours.
Monday – Saturday, 8:00 – 17:00
And Sunday, 9:00 – 13:00. Sunday mornings the clinic is open, which is what a weekend trip needs.
